((To post a new board on the webbie!!! First in FireClan, too, it seems.))
Wolfstar watched as the last of the cats went in for the night. He sighed as he turned. Time for another night. He looked around the den, quietly, then stepped towards the bedding. It had been quiet, too quiet, ever since he had come into this den. Memories of Miststar filled his mind once more. He shook his head to rid it of them, then curled up into a ball in his bedding. In no time, he was asleep.
A light, so bright it almost blinded him, raced past. Wolfspirit, the warrior, was crouching on the side of the Thunderpath. His stomach twisted in apprehension of something... something he did not know. He tried to move, but he he couldn't. At first, this didn't bother him that much. He'd wait for what would happen. Then he saw them... Sleepingpaw and Mistedeye, the warrior with one blind eye that had escorted her over that one night. Wolfspirit's eyes widened. It was the memory being replayed in exact detail. He tried to open his mouth, tried to warn the young she-cat and the tom escorting her.//No, no, NO// he thought, terrified. The tom and Sleepingpaw ran across. Mistedeye got his paw stuck in the road. He yowled, attempting to free himself. The blur, his lovely little apprentice. Mistedeye, on the opposite side of the Thunderpath again. Sleepingpaw... She looked at him... Peacefulness in her eyes... And then the she-cat changed shape, became slightly larger, her fur changed to a beautiful blue-grey, her eyes to yellow. "I know you are the best choice for our clan... Treat them well..."
Wolfstar yowled, tossing and turning in his nest, until he jolted awake. His fur was sticking up and his fear-scent was strong. He mentally growled at himself. What if one of his clan members had heard him...? He stood completely still, calming down and listening for the sound of any cat stirring.
